Impact tests can be carried out on various combinations of glass, curtain wall and window/door samples in accordance with EN 12600, EN 14019 and EN 13049 individually. For these tests, a pendulum with a mass of 50 kg is used.

The force exerted on the test sample is the kinetic energy generated as a result of the fall of the pendulum (measured in joules, J). These tests can also be carried out with a bag filled with 50 kg glass beads, which is designed in accordance with the French NFP regulations
